LATEST NEWS - 2016
Myself and Becky would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope you all have a wonderful New Year!
Thank you so much for your support during the year, we are truly thankful. 2016 has been a big year for us, with holding our first medal test, going along to our first dance competitions, holding our biggest dance show to date and setting up classes in new locations.
We aim to expand on this success into 2017, by going along to more competitions, holding 2 medal tests, putting on more socials in all our locations and to also expand our classes into more areas.
We will keep you informed of all of the above through the website, social media and email so please check back regularly to see what is new.
So once again, Merry Christmas and see you all in 2017!

UKA Ballroom Medal Test
On Saturday 24th September, we will be holding our very first Ballroom Medal Test at Ashley Memorial Hall. Around 25 people so far have registered there interest in taking a medal, but there is still time to enter if you are undecided.
Medals are really good fun, give you a great sense of achievement and are a great way to track your dancing progress. Depending on which level you enter, you will dance either 1 or 2 simple ballroom routines of your choice (you can choose from Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and Quickstep), which you will dance with Ross on the day. Exams usually last around 5 minutes, during which another dance teacher will sit in and watch your dancing.
The exam starts at 3:30pm, but doors will be open from aorund 2:45pm to give you an opportunity to practice. In regards to clothing, you are free to wear what you like. However we do recommend black trousers, shirt and tie for men and a dress for ladies. If you are unable to make the day of the exam, do not worry as we can film your routine beforehand which the examiner can then watch back.
Ross will be bringing entry forms along to classes so if you would like to take part, please feel free to take one. If you require anymore information then please get in touch.

As well as being a night of dance, we also held a Charity Raffle which helped raise £130 for the North Staffs Mind Charity, who do fantastic work in supporting children and adults with mental health problems.
I would like to pass on my thanks to all the dancers for coming along and showcasing their incredible talents. Also, many thanks to my family, for their hard work during the night. Thank you also to everyone who donated prizes to the raffle and to Christine for making the cake for the Guess the Weight competition. Blackpool Dance Festival
In May we had a fantastic weekend of dancing in Blackpool. The annual Blackpool Dance Festival was taking place at the Winter Gardens, where we were treated to some fabulous dancing. We watched the professional Team Match, with teams representing the UK, Europe, America and Asia, each comprising some of the world's best dance couples. Team America came out on top and won the event. The atmosphere was incredible, with not a spare seat in the house and we even spotted a few stars from Strictly Come Dancing!
We didn't sit with our feet up for long though, we also visited the famous Blackpool Tower ballroom for a tea dance. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon was had, with plenty of dancing on the beautiful Blackpool ballroom floor to wonderful live music. We even fitted in some sightseeing, peering below to the streets of Blackpool from the glass floor at the top of the tower!
Pictures and videos from the trip can be found here. If you have any videos or pictures from the trip that you would like to share to our website, please send them in! We will be planning more dance trips in the future, so please keep checking our Events page regularly to find out more.
