Strictly Shropshire Success!

After almost a year in the planning, it is great to reflect on the experience as a whole.

Though sad that the experience has come to an end, myself and our dancers are proud to have pulled off a spectacular show and raise so much money for a great charity in Hope House. Before we announce how much the event has raised at the end of this post, I would like to say a few thank-yous.

Firstly well done to Derek and Tracey on being crowned our Strictly Shropshire Grand Champions! 🕺💃🏆 A thoroughly deserved victory which couldn't go to 2 nicer people.

Well done also to Jamie on being given the 'Best Journey Award.' Well deserved after all the hard-work you put into your dancing and fundraising.

To our incredible dancers 💃🕺 - it has been an absolute pleasure to have met you all and get to know you over the last 3 months. You are all amazing people who made the experience so fun and humbling for myself personally. To have not only pulled off the performances you did after just 8 hours of training, but also fundraise over £6000 (double their target) is a fantastic achievement you should all be very proud of.

Thank-you to all the pupils of my dance school, Step By Step Dance Instruction, you have all been incredible! Whether it's been gathering raffle prizes, coming along to various meetings, being a dancer in the show, or helping out on the evening, you have all been so supportive of myself and the event and I am so thankful for it. ❤️

To the professional dancers on the night, thank you! 😊 You all did a fantastic job in training and on the evening itself and brought such professionalism and humor to every lesson!

To Mark our compere for the evening, you did a great job being our 'Brucey' on the night! Thank you also to Simon, our tech man and one of my best friends, for doing an amazing job with the music and videos. 🎵🎥

Thank you to, Colin, Clive, Simi and Chloe for being our Strictly judges on the night. You all brought great humor to the evening, along with some lovely feedback for all our dancers.😊❤

Thank you to the Lion Quays team for all your hard work in setting up the room and making it look as incredible as it did.

Thank you to Luca and Emily for showcasing your amazing dancing talents to us all.💃🕺 I am very proud of you both and I know you will both go on to greater things together.

Thank you to the audience for not only coming along to support the event and Hope House, but for creating such an electric atmosphere. All 400 of you truly supported every couple equally, no matter who you were their to watch and the buzz you gave all our dancers is a feeling they will never forget.❤🏆

Finally, I would like to give a special thanks to Lynsey and her team from Hope House. Lynsey has been their to support me from the beginning and did so much work behind the scenes to make the evening a success. You have been fantastic to work with and I hope the money we have raised for Hope House will go a long way to helping children and families in our community.❤😊

I am delighted to announce the current total we have raised so far has been a whopping, £10,500!!! An incredible amount of money which far exceeds our initial £5k-£7.5k target.

Thank you to you all again for your fantastic support. I am delighted to say we will be running a Strictly Shropshire 2020 and if anyone would wish to declare their interest, please email:

Thanks again and Keeeeep Dancing!! 🕺💃
